Course Objectives

This course aims to provide information about the basic concepts of mental health, basic mental health problems, the effects of chronic diseases on mental health, mental problems seen in acute-chronic renal failure and dialysis process.

Course Content

Health, disease, chronic disease concepts- Basic concepts of Mental Health and basic mental health problems-Situational crises, Traumatic Life Experiences and the relationship between illness-Mental reactions to physical health problems and adaptation process- Mental effects of chronic diseases on patients and their families- Mental problems and diseases seen in dialysis patients- Psychosocial approaches towards dialysis patients and their families-Psychosocial organ donation process and its mental effects-Psychosocial It includes topics such as the organ transplantation process and its psychological effects-psychosocial

Learning Outcomes
