Course Objectives

The goal is to enable young people who will complete their higher education to understand the structure and functioning of their mother tongue; to equip them with the ability to use Turkish correctly and beautifully as a means of written and spoken expression, in terms of the language-thought connection; and to foster a unifying and effective approach to education, fostering a strong awareness of their mother tongue. Languages ​​in the world and the place of Turkish among world languages, historical periods and development of the Turkish Language knowing about. Ability to use Turkish correctly, oral and written forms of expression, knowledge of spelling, punctuation and spelling rules. Features and rules of written and verbal expression; basic difference between written and spoken language; text analysing, methods of making presentation. Improvement of written and verbal expression skills of students with sample text and in-class exercises.

Course Content

Basic grammar rules, Word types, Suitability of time in tenses and expression.World language groups. The place of Turkish among the world language groups. Oral and written forms of expression. Spelling, punctuation and spelling rules. Making correct sentences, sentence analysis.
