Course Objectives

To raise awareness and develop adoption capabilities regarding technology-based systems used in the tourism and hospitality industry.

Course Content

This course provides an overview of the digital solutions and innovative technologies widely used in the tourism and hospitality industry. Students will explore the application areas of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, big data, mobile applications, smart destination systems, and virtual/augmented reality. The course also covers operational systems commonly used in hotel and restaurant businesses, including Property Management Systems (PMS), Point of Sale (POS) systems, and kitchen display systems.In the practical component of the course, students will use office software frequently employed in hotel operations to create basic data files, charts, presentations, and reports.
