Course Objectives

The main objective of this course is to enhance students’ ability to use English effectively in academic and professional gastronomy contexts. It aims to develop higher-level comprehension, critical thinking, structured writing, and interactive communication skills, as well as the ability to analyze and interpret more complex information and data.

Course Content

This course aims to develop students’ advanced academic and vocational English skills within the field of Gastronomy. It includes analyzing academic texts, identifying arguments and supporting evidence, and understanding more complex listening materials. Students produce more advanced written texts such as comparison, cause-effect, and opinion paragraphs, while developing their ability to express and defend ideas through discussions and presentations. Additionally, students interpret and analyze data from graphs and visuals to explain trends. The course covers contemporary topics such as global cuisines, sustainability, and food trends.
