Course Objectives

The main objective of this course is to develop students’ foundational English language skills for academic and vocational purposes in Gastronomy. It aims to enable students to understand and produce basic texts, communicate in structured situations, and interpret simple visual data while building essential academic and professional vocabulary.

Course Content

This course aims to develop students’ foundational academic and vocational English skills within the field of Gastronomy. It includes the acquisition of basic field-specific vocabulary, identifying main ideas and details in reading texts, and understanding short academic and professional listening materials. Students also develop basic writing skills such as description and process writing, while practicing fundamental speaking skills through classroom interaction. In addition, simple graphs, tables, and process diagrams are interpreted, and topics such as kitchen environments, ingredients, and basic techniques are covered within a gastronomic context.
