Course Objectives

It is aimed to be able to obtain information about the problems and needs of persons with disabilities, to gain awareness and to look at their problems with a critical eye, to acquire basic information about public health, the role of the physiotherapist in public health and preventive physiotherapy.

Course Content

In this course, the definition of disability, normality and health, the scope and causes of the relationship between society and how people with disabilities are examined, the needs of persons with disabilities to participate in society and what challenges they face in the process of being addressed, the factors affecting the health, the approaching models required for the development of the health and application of these models to the physical therapy, labour health, school health, environment health, preventive physiotherapy and rehabilitation.
