Course Objectives

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills to monitor healthy newborns and to recognize and refer all health deviations during the neonatal period.

Course Content

This course includes the characteristics of a healthy newborn and healthy newborn monitoring, high-risk newborns and their problems, newborns that the midwife should recognize and refer, information needs of parents, and newborn-specific practices.
