Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to provide students with fundamental knowledge about building elements, materials, construction techniques, and structural systems. It aims to help students understand the functions of building components and their roles in the design process.

Course Content

This course introduces building elements and structural systems, examining the properties and applications of fundamental building materials. Additionally, it focuses on different construction techniques and processes, addressing the load transfer mechanisms of structural systems. Within the scope of the course, the role of building components in the design process and the relationship between buildings and the environment are also evaluated.
