Course Objectives

The objective of the course is to provide students with necessary knowledge about the concept of architectural representation and skills for written, oral, graphic and physical expression with the help of conventional and digital tools.

Course Content

As a part of a twofold lecture system – in coordination with its pre-requisite ARC1103 – this course covers hand drafting and digital representation techniques for parallel / central projections and plan, section, elevation drawings of architectural mass(es) / space(s) with various properties.

LO1 Upon successful completion of the course, create parallel projections of an architectural mass and space on a physical / digital 2D medium to express their properties accurately.
LO2 Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to create central projections of an architectural mass and space on a physical / digital 2D medium to express their properties accurately.
LO3 Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to describe the properties of a formerly expressed architectural mass and space by examining their parallel and central projections.
LO4 Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to describe the relationship between the notion / various types of expression and process / products of architectural design stages.
