Course Objectives

This course aims to enable the student to understand the basic concepts and theories of the protection of women's health, monitoring their health, and nursing care in case of illness, to determine the nursing care needs with a holistic approach to women and their families, to plan, implement and evaluate interventions

Course Content

The course content includes; the importance of women's health and nursing care, anatomy and physiology of reproductive health, physiology of pregnancy, prenatal care, risky pregnancies, labor and nursing care, newborn physiology and care, the importance of breast milk and nursing care during breastfeeding, the importance of breast milk and nursing care during breastfeeding, puerperal period and risky situations, family planning, reproductive system infections and sexually transmitted diseases, reproductive cycle anomalies, anatomical and functional anomalies of the reproductive organs, benign gynecological changes, and reproductive system cancers.
