Course Objectives

Providing to comprehend and to transfer application of basic procedures in evaluation methods of musculoskeletal system injuries and orthopaedic problems which needs surgical intervention or not; developing competence and skills to select and to apply the most appropriate and surgery specific physiotherapy and rehabilitation program and interventions

Course Content

General treatment principles of fractures and physiotherapy and rehabilitation approaches after various fractures; Conservative treatment of conditions that cause joint degeneration such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, and rehabilitation principles after joint replacement surgery such as endoprostheses; rehabilitation of shoulder joint pathologies such as tendinitis and tears of the rotator cuff, bursitis, and periarthritis; Patellofemoral pain syndrome in the knee, rehabilitation of ligament and meniscus injuries, physiotherapy and rehabilitation methods in back and neck pain; Practical applications related to bandage and tapping methods that can be used in orthopedic conditions and musculoskeletal system injuries.
