Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to develop a comprehensive understanding of how to design, conduct, and report research in psychology. It will cover the necessary basic steps to conduct a study and will address research ethics.

Course Content

Topics such as the research process in psychology, database searching, descriptive and experimental methods, applied research, qualitative research methods, current issues in psychology, and reporting research findings will be covered. In addition, scientific articles related to these topics will be discussed in class. In class, students are expected to read and evaluate the articles critically.. Finally, at the end of the semester, students are required to write a research proposal.
