Course Objectives

With this course, the student will understand the basic concepts and theories of surgical diseases nursing, approach the patient and the patient's relatives in a bio-psycho-social integrity, determine the nursing needs before, during and after the surgical intervention, and gain the skills of planning, implementing and evaluating interventions with other healthcare personnel. It is aimed to improve the ability to communicate effectively.

Course Content

The content of this course includes basic concepts of surgery, surgical site infections, surgical diseases of all systems and perioperative nursing process.
