Course Objectives

It is aimed to have sufficient medical knowledge and skills in microbiology in laboratories providing health services and to be able to apply the knowledge gained in the laboratory environment.

Course Content

The curriculum includes an introduction to medical microbiology and biosafety regulations, equipment used in microbiology laboratories, experiments using equipment in microbiology laboratories, serological tests, laboratory identification of bacteria, the structure of fungi and staining methods and microscopy used in mycology, culture media and methods used in mycology, identification methods used in mycology, and the structure of parasites and methods used in parasitology.
