Course Objectives

With this course, it is aimed to transfer the theoretical knowledge into practice about the development and protection of the health of the healthy / sick individual and family, medical treatment / care and rehabilitation processes in health problems related to the systems, to  increase clinical decision-making, critical thinking and research skills and to develop the ability to work independently by increasing skills in cognitive, affective and behavioral areas.

Course Content

In this course, the theoretical knowledge (body systems anatomy, physiopathology, diagnosis-treatment, care, protection and rehabilitation) and practices necessary to provide nursing care to individuals with internal medicine problems are discussed.

LO5 Explains the principles of health education according to the needs of the patient/family at the primary, secondary and tertiary prevention levels regarding diseases.
LO6 Explains working in collaboration with the healthcare team and other disciplines with a sense of professional responsibility in internal medicine clinics, legislation, patient rights, professional values ​​and ethical principles.
LO7 Gains the ability to research, examine and improve oneself.
