Course Objectives

It is aimed to teach students the basic concepts of parasitism, types of parasites, hosts, types, diseases caused by parasites, laboratory diagnosis and treatment methods.

Course Content

Definitions related to Parasite-Host and Parasitism, parasite types, host types, types of parasitism, protozoans, sporozoons, helminths, cestodes, trematodes characteristics and their laboratory diagnostic methods, parasitological examination of blood, CSF, urine and other body fluids.
