Course Objectives

It is aimed to teach students the basic concepts of microbiology, general characteristics of bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites, biological activities and structures, classification, pathogenic mechanisms, infection and transmission routes, host response to infectious agent, anti-microbial therapy, basic immunology, sterilization and disinfection methods.

Course Objectives

It is aimed to teach students the basic concepts of microbiology, general characteristics of bacteria, viruses, fungi and parasites, biological activities and structures, classification, pathogenic mechanisms, infection and transmission routes, host response to infectious agent, anti-microbial therapy, basic immunology, sterilization and disinfection methods.

Course Content

The history of microbiology includes the classification and structure of microorganisms, plant reproduction and metabolism, inter-microorganism, organism-environment and organism relationships, the concepts and importance of permanent and transient flora, the normal flora of the whole (skin, upper respiratory tract, lower respiratory tract, GI tract, genitourinary system, etc.), the effect of the external environment on microorganisms, sterilization, disinfection, antisepsis definition and sterilization methods and their use, changes in sterility, changes in changes and changes in sterility, bacterial structure, physiology and genetics, persistent infections of medical importance, fungi, parasites and the genetic structure of viruses, the resistance of organisms to organisms, immune response, antimicrobial drugs and vaccines, antimicrobial resistance, and hospital facilities.
