Course Objectives

It is aimed that students have knowledge about the structure and function of the cell, substance transport in the cell, mendelian genetics, general genetics, molecular genetics and human genetics.

Introduction to biology, The beginning of life, Physical structure of the cell, Cell stimulation systems, Chemical structure of the cell, General properties of the cell and organelles, Cell division, Structure of genetic material, Methods of examining genetic factors, Mendelian genetics and cytogenetics, Chromosomal abnormalities, Genetic diseases and genetic counseling, Chromosome analysis and gene therapy.
