Course Objectives

The aim of this course is to ensure that students put the theoretical knowledge they have gained at the end of the 2 years into practice by conducting in-depth research on the topic they have chosen under the supervision of an advisor, making relevant calculations, or proposing a solution, and thus gaining experience on that topic.

Course Content

In this course, students choose a topic from the sub-branches of construction they are interested in and prepare a graduation thesis on this topic. These topics can be within the scope of sub-branches such as geotechnics, earthquake, construction management, hydraulic and water structures, and transportation.

Learning Outcomes

Code Description
LO1 The student will be able to conduct literature research on the subject of the study he/she has chosen.
LO2 The student will be able to apply technical calculations related to the study topic he/she has chosen.
LO3 The student will be able to obtain findings related to the study topic and compare them in terms of literature and industry practices.
LO4 The student will gain experience in thesis writing rules through his/her graduation thesis.
LO5 The student will gain experience in effective communication and presentation by presenting his/her work during and at the end of the thesis writing phase.
