Course Objectives

The Oral and Dental Health Program provides students with the ability to have all the concepts and disease information related to infection from a health professional perspective. It provides information on the recognition of infectious agents and how to eliminate them in order to prevent infectious diseases caused by microorganisms.

Course Content

Infection Formation, Infection Signs and Symptoms, Respiratory Transmitted Diseases, Blood Transmitted Diseases, Fecal-Oral Transmitted Diseases, Methods, use and preparation. Ergonomics, body movement requirement. Patient education. Hospital Infection Control Committee. Disinfection of solutions in Hospital Disinfection and Sterilization, Personal Protection Methods, Isolation Infections, Intensive Care Unit Infections.
