Course Objectives
The aim of this course is to teach the physiological responses of the cardiovascular, pulmonary, musculoskeletal, and nervous systems to exercise; to explain cardiovascular regulation and integration, functional capacity assessment, energy expenditure, and exercise testing; to provide knowledge on aerobic and anaerobic exercise, factors affecting maximal aerobic power, and recovery processes; and to enhance students’ fundamental knowledge and awareness of muscle strength measurement and development, hormonal responses, thermoregulation, ergogenic aids, exercise physiology under underwater and high-altitude conditions, and body composition.
