Course Objectives

Introducing students to medical terms, comprehension and usability of medical terminology in order to ensure the use of a common language with health professionals

Course Content

Introduction to medical terminology, basic structure of words, Latin pronunciation and stress, prefixes, suffixes, types of terms, planes of the body, Cardiovascular system terms, Respiratory system terms, Movement system terms, Digestive system terms, Urogenital system terms, Endocrine system terms, Nervous system terms, Sensory organs terms, pharmaceutical science, disease classification and analgesia
