Course Objectives

This course aims to introduce students to medical terminology, ensure their comprehension of medical terms, and enable them to use this terminology effectively in order to establish a common language with healthcare professionals.

Course Content

This course covers an introduction to medical terminology, basic word structure, Latin pronunciation and accentuation, prefixes and suffixes, types of terms, anatomical planes of the body, and terminology related to the cardiovascular, respiratory, musculoskeletal, digestive, urogenital, endocrine, and nervous systems, as well as sensory organs. It also includes terminology related to pharmacology, disease classification, and analgesia.
