About the Program

The Department of Civil Engineering at Antalya Bilim University was established in 2012, grounded in the most up-to-date engineering approaches and technologies of our time. Our department aims to educate qualified engineers and academics who will contribute to a wide range of pioneering national and international projects, spanning from infrastructure to superstructure, from sustainable constructions to innovative material technologies. Since its foundation, the department has focused on scientific productivity through its strong academic staff, interdisciplinary approach, and international collaborations. We are committed not only to providing a solid engineering education but also to instilling ethical values, leadership skills, and global competitiveness in our students. Admission and Registration Requirements

To meet the minimum requirements by having obtained the required scores from the relevant examinations of OSYM.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Courses taken in previous education may be recognized as deemed appropriate by our department’s adaptation (equivalency) commission.

Program Educational Objectives

It is aimed that graduates of the ABU Department of Civil Engineering acquire the following qualifications within the first few years after completing their undergraduate education: They can effectively take part in national and international projects in different subfields of civil engineering such as structural, geotechnical, transportation, hydraulic, and environmental infrastructure systems by using engineering knowledge, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills. By observing professional ethics, sustainability, and safety principles, they can develop engineering solutions sensitive to societal needs and undertake responsibilities in public institutions, the private sector, or as independent engineers. With teamwork, communication, and leadership skills, they can take an active role in the planning, management, and implementation of projects in collaboration with experts from different disciplines. By following rapidly changing engineering technologies and effectively using digital transformation and innovative design tools, they continuously improve their professional competence. With an awareness of lifelong academic and professional learning, they keep their knowledge and skills up to date through graduate education, in-service courses, or certification programs.

Graduation Requirements

The student must successfully complete the courses that he/she is required to take. The student must complete 240 ECTS credits with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.00.

Transition to Higher Degree Programs

Students who wish may continue their graduate education by taking the OSYM and YOK examinations and meeting the minimum requirements

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Our graduates can work in various fields in the private sector where engineering knowledge is required, particularly in infrastructure and superstructure projects. As it is one of the oldest branches of engineering, it is a department with wide employment opportunities.
