Admission and Registration Requirements
Students are admitted to the Physiotherapy Program by making their preferences based on the TYT score type within the university entrance examinations organized annually by the Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM), taking into account the base scores of the previous year.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students are admitted to our program through central placement by ÖSYM (Student Selection and Placement Center), domestic and international inter-institutional transfer based on academic achievement, and inter-institutional and intra-institutional transfer based on central placement scores.Students admitted to the Physiotherapy Program may request that courses successfully completed in their previous undergraduate or associate degree programs be adapted to our program's curriculum before enrollment. This request is made by submitting a petition to the School of Health Professions at the beginning of the academic year in which the student will begin their studies. The student must attach an original certified transcript to their petition. The adaptation process is carried out within the framework of the principles determined by the Board of Directors of the School of Health Professions and the committees it appoints. Course content and ECTS credit load are considered during the adaptation process.
Program Educational Objectives
The aim of the physiotherapy program is to enable students to acquire fundamental, current, and applied knowledge and skills in the field of physiotherapy and to use them effectively in clinical practice; to train professionals who can adapt to innovations in their field by developing awareness of the working areas and requirements of the profession; to produce individuals who are committed to ethical principles, responsible, and respectful of patient rights in professional practice; to train graduates who can take an active role in individual and interdisciplinary team work and can communicate correctly and effectively with patients and healthcare professionals; to develop a professional attitude that acts in line with occupational health and safety and environmental awareness, adopts and implements quality processes; and to strengthen students' skills in conducting scientific research, analyzing data, monitoring technological and scientific developments, and lifelong learning.
Exams, Assessment and Evaluation
Exams at our university consist of midterm exams, final exams, make-up exams, exemption exams, supplementary exams, and single-course exams. Exams are conducted according to the program prepared and announced by the Vocational School of Health Services. Student ID cards must be presented to enter the exams. Our university does not have a make-up exam system; however, a summer school program is available.A midterm exam is an exam given during the semester in which a course is taught within the curriculum of the associate degree program at the Vocational School of Health Services. Each course has at least one midterm exam per semester, or assignments, projects, and similar work done in the course may be used in place of a midterm exam at the discretion of the course instructor. A final exam is held at the end of the semester in which the course is taught, within the dates specified in the academic calendar. To be eligible to take final exams, students must have completed 70% of the courses.Our students' academic proficiency is determined by calculating their grade point averages at the end of each semester. From the end of the second semester onwards, students with a general grade point average of 2.00 and above are considered successful; those with a grade point average of 1.99 and below are considered academically insufficient. Students who fail a course in the program curriculum must retake that course in the first semester it is offered. Even if all other graduation requirements are met, a student cannot graduate unless they have completed the failed course.

Graduation Requirements
According to Article 40 of our University's Undergraduate and Associate Degree Education, Teaching and Examination Regulations, a student is entitled to receive an associate degree from the relevant program if they successfully complete all courses included in the curriculum of the program in which they are enrolled, have a general grade point average of at least 2.00 out of 4.00, and have completed a total of at least 120 ECTS credits.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Graduates of the Physiotherapy Program have the opportunity to transfer to undergraduate programs announced by ÖSYM through the vertical transfer exam.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Graduates of our physiotherapy program have employment opportunities in public and private hospitals, rehabilitation centers, private healthcare institutions, private education centers, sports and health centers, professional and amateur sports clubs, nursing homes, and spa and thermal facilities.
