About the Program
The Tourism Management Department offers undergraduate-level education. Admission and Registration Requirements
Students are admitted to the Undergraduate Program of the Tourism Management Department at Antalya Bilim University based on the results of the Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS) conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM).The Tourism Management Department admits students according to the Equal Weight (EA) score type. Students who obtain the required score and are placed in the program complete their registration at the university on the dates determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).
Recognition of Prior Learning
Students who have completed the English preparatory program and successfully passed the proficiency examination are admitted to the Tourism Management Program. In addition, students may also be admitted through horizontal transfer from other departments of the university or from other universities in Türkiye or abroad.Inter-institutional and intra-institutional transfers through the central placement score are possible if the student’s central placement score in the year of their initial enrollment is equal to or higher than the base score of the diploma program at Antalya Bilim University to which they wish to transfer.Students who meet this requirement may apply for a horizontal transfer, including to the preparatory class, in accordance with the calendar, quotas, procedures, and principles determined by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK).Applications are evaluated by the board of the academic unit to which the student intends to transfer. If the number of applications exceeds the available quota, candidates are ranked according to their ÖSYS scores, starting from the highest score, and transfers are accepted up to the available quota. However, if the program to which the student wishes to transfer did not admit students through central placement in the year the applicant initially enrolled, meaning that no base score was formed for that program in that year, then a transfer to that program is not possible. For transfers from higher education institutions abroad, the Senate of Antalya Bilim University determines a quota each year, provided that it does not exceed half of the inter-institutional transfer quota allocated under the academic achievement requirement. These quotas and application requirements are reported to the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) no later than June 30 (by the end of the working day) and are announced on the university’s official website, together with the quotas for inter-institutional transfers from other higher education institutions within Türkiye to Antalya Bilim University. For transfers from abroad, the conditions specified under the Inter-Institutional Transfer Application Based on Academic Achievement are required. In addition, students who wish to transfer to Antalya Bilim University and whose central placement score is equal to or higher than the base score required for admission to the relevant class of the diploma program they wish to transfer into may apply for a horizontal transfer without the requirement of having successfully completed all courses taken abroad. Applications submitted within this scope are evaluated outside the university’s international transfer quota. For transfer applications from higher education institutions abroad, the institution and the program in which the student is enrolled must be recognized by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) as an institution authorized to grant an associate or bachelor’s degree, and the equivalence of the diploma program in which the student is currently enrolled with the program they wish to transfer into must be approved by Antalya Bilim University. In the evaluation of transfer applications to higher education programs in Türkiye from students who started their higher education abroad, the minimum scores obtained in the examinations conducted by the Measurement, Selection and Placement Center (ÖSYM) and the scores from equivalent examinations recognized by ÖSYM are taken into consideration. These scores, together with the international transfer quotas determined by Antalya Bilim University, are announced by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK). Candidates must have at least the minimum announced scores in order to apply.
