About the Program
The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering admitted its first students in the 2012–2013 academic year and has continued its undergraduate and graduate education since that date. Since its establishment, English has been used as the language of instruction in the educational activities carried out, and the program is delivered through formal (on-campus) education. The aim of the department is to educate creative engineers in both theoretical and applied fields who can meet the needs of industry and society. For this purpose, the program offers courses related to circuits, electronics, electromagnetic field and wave theory, optics and photonics, signal processing, control systems, power systems, and communication systems.
Admission and Registration Requirements
Students are admitted to the Electrical and Electronics Engineering undergraduate program at Antalya Bilim University through the national university entrance exam (YKS) conducted by ÖSYM or through horizontal transfer from other universities. Students who are admitted to the program are required to submit certain documents during registration, such as a high school diploma or temporary graduation certificate, a copy of their identity card or passport, and other required registration documents. Since the language of instruction in the program is English, students must demonstrate their English proficiency or take the university’s English proficiency exam; those who do not achieve the required score must attend the English preparatory program. The normal duration of the Electrical and Electronics Engineering undergraduate program is four years, and students are expected to complete the program within the specified period. In addition, students transferring from other universities may apply for course equivalency (credit transfer) for the courses they have previously completed, which are evaluated by the department.

Exams, Assessment and Evaluation
In the Electrical and Electronics Engineering undergraduate program at Antalya Bilim University, student performance is assessed and evaluated through various methods such as midterm exams, quizzes, assignments, projects, laboratory work, and final exams. The evaluation methods used for each course and their contribution to the final grade are determined by the course instructor at the beginning of the semester and announced to the students. Students’ academic performance in each course is determined based on the overall results of these assessments, and grading is conducted according to the university’s grading system. In addition, students’ academic achievement is evaluated through the cumulative grade point average calculated at the end of each semester.

Graduation Requirements
In order to graduate from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering program, students must successfully complete all courses included in the program curriculum and accumulate a total of 240 ECTS credits. In addition, students are required to achieve a minimum cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 2.00 out of 4.00. Students must also complete the Internship I requirement and successfully take the departmental and non-departmental elective courses defined in the curriculum. Once all these requirements are fulfilled, the student becomes eligible for graduation upon academic approval by the department and the faculty.

Electrical and electronics engineers can find employment opportunities in many different sectors such as energy, electronics, telecommunications, automation, defense industry, and software. They can work in companies involved in electricity generation and distribution, firms that design and manufacture electronic devices, telecommunications companies, enterprises operating in industrial automation and robotic systems, the defense and aerospace industry, as well as software and technology companies. In addition, they also have the opportunity to conduct academic studies at research centers and universities.
