About the Program
The Thesis-Based Master’s Program in Business Administration (English) began admitting students in the 2021–2022 academic year. The objective of Master of Science in Business Administration Program is to educate graduates who will be the leader managers that businesses and corporations need. By considering the importance of human resources for businesses and teaching the skills and capabilities required for managers and leaders in today’s globalized business life, it is aimed that implementations will be applied in business arena. Furthermore, another objective is to provide the necessary theoretical foundations for students who want to pursue an academic career.
Admission and Registration Requirements
Higher education institutions may admit students to master’s programs based solely on ALES scores, or they may also take into consideration undergraduate GPA, a written scientific assessment, and/or an interview in addition to the ALES score.
Recognition of Prior Learning
Credits earned from courses completed by students who have finalized their enrollment in the program at another higher education institution, either domestically or abroad, may be counted toward the program upon the student’s application, the evaluation of the relevant department, and the approval of the Institute Administrative Board.
Program Educational Objectives
The objective of this program is to educate individuals equipped with advanced theoretical knowledge in business administration, capable of effectively using scientific research methods, and possessing strong analytical and critical thinking skills to contribute to academic and professional fields. The program aims to develop students’ competencies in conducting research, producing scientific output, and preparing for doctoral-level studies.
Exams, Assessment and Evaluation
The examinations and assessment methods applied for each course are defined in the course’s ECTS form.EvaluationA+: Awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding performance in the course.FX: Awarded to unsuccessful students who fail to meet attendance requirements or course obligations. This grade is considered as an “F” in GPA calculations.W: Awarded to students who withdraw from the course with the approval of their advisor. The course appears on the transcript but is not included in GPA or credit calculations.I: Awarded to students who are unable to complete their requirements for courses based on projects, theses, or similar work by the end of the semester, provided that their reasons are deemed valid by the relevant instructor.EX: Awarded to students who pass exemption exams organized by the relevant departments for courses determined by the Senate. This grade is not included in GPA calculations but is counted toward the total credits earned until graduation.U: Awarded for internships or similar activities, or for courses that are not included in GPA calculations.P: Awarded at the end of the first semester for courses that extend beyond one semester. This grade is not included in GPA calculations.AU: Awarded to students who take courses without credit, with the written permission of the relevant instructor, and successfully complete them. If the student fails to fulfill the course requirements, the course is considered as not taken. This grade is not included in GPA or credit calculations.

Graduation Requirements
Provided that the student passes the thesis examination and fulfills the other graduation requirements determined by the Senate, a thesis-based master’s degree shall be awarded to the student who submits at least three bound copies of the master’s thesis to the relevant institute within one month from the date of the thesis examination, and whose thesis is approved in terms of format.
Transition to Higher Degree Programs
Graduates who successfully complete the master’s program may apply to doctoral programs in their field of specialization or in interdisciplinary areas, provided that they obtain the required score from the ALES exam and meet the English language proficiency requirements.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates
Our graduates have the opportunity to work in all types of businesses and advance to managerial positions after graduation. They can be employed in departments such as marketing, foreign trade, accounting, and human resources. Graduates of our Business Administration Department can work across all sectors and fields, performing the essential functions required for the continuity of a business. They may also establish their own ventures as entrepreneurs. Furthermore, supported by the knowledge and experience gained through our research-oriented courses, they may pursue academic careers by continuing to doctoral programs or applying for research assistant or lecturer positions.
